CAS stands for conditional access system, which is a digital mode of transmitting TV channels trough a set-top box (STB). The transmission signals are encrypted and viewers need to buy a set-top box to receive and decrypt the signal. In line with the BICMA regulations, DrukMSO has implemented 2 world class CAS systems in its headend and have provisions to integrate up to 16 Conditional Access Systems to provide the local cable operators the freedom to choose their STB manufacturer.
